13 Jul Delivering Meals on Wheels – As Published on The Hans India
KhanaGadi, a mobile app-based food delivery aggregator with its HQ in Jaipur is one of the latest startups that 50K Ventures has invested in. It was founded by Amit Deep Kumar in 2015 when he realized how difficult it was to find food while traveling via trains, and in the rare cases when food is available, the options are few and the packaging isn’t good enough. KhanaGadi practically solves both these issues by offering various meal options that include combos, mini-meals, and more. The packaging and the menu too was created considering the environment of the train in mind. The service is currently available at 150 stations across India, and the best part about KhanaGadi is that, if the train is running late, the food delivery too would be rescheduled accordingly. With an intention to serve diabetic, low-cholesterol friendly meals in near future, KhanaGadi aims to serve 1,000 customers in a day by next year. The founding team comprises of individuals with an experience of over 35 years in diverse sectors like technology, food design, food production, logistics etc.
The Hans India, a leading Indian newspaper has published an article about KhanaGadi on the 10th of July, which talks about how KhanaGadi has been making the train journeys across the country tastier. Because what’s a little travel without good food by your side?
